The loan balance (Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank, non-consolidated) as of the end of September 2023 increased by 0.8 trillion yen from the end of March 2023 to 32.8 trillion yen, mainly due to increase in corporate loan. Deposits, etc. (Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank, non-consolidated)* increased by 3.2 trillion yen over the same period to 42.3 trillion yen, mainly due to increase in deposits from corporate clients.
*Deposits, etc. include the principal guaranteed trust account (loan trusts and jointly operated money trusts), but exclude negotiable certificates of deposit.
The balance of trust account (Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank, non-consolidated) as of the end of September 2023 was almost flat from the end of March 2023 to 256.1 trillion yen.
